Since the age of four or five and until I graduated from college, I was a swimmer. From seventh grade on, I practiced 2 times a day, 6 days a week. As you can imagine, by the time I graduated from college I was done with physical activity.
Fast forward 6 years to November 2012, I had gained 80 pounds and was not in good shape physically or psychologically. I heard about this thing called CrossFit and signed up for an intro at CrossFit Kirkwood. Business ended up taking me me out of town for the remainder of 2012 but once I jumped in the classes in January 2013, I was sold. Over the next year, I lost 10 inches off my waist and my strength grew exponentially. Now, I can’t get enough of this. Crossfit Kirkwood is a special place that I’m incredibly excited to be a part of.
