Well, this happened.

Now, ‘fess up. You under-estimated this one, didn’t you? Tricky, tricky. Those burpee box jumps are definitely harder than just a burpee and a box jump. Completely evil way to start the workout. And how hard could jumping air squats be? Turns out… pretty darn hard. And how better to finish this leg burner than on the rower. Saw some excellent scores on this one! Congrats to everyone who tackled it!

After such a tough Monday, we were clearly in for an easy Tuesday, right? No way. The toes to bar require a fast closing of the hip, while the deadlifts require a strong opening of the hip. Toss in some pushups and running, and this one was a great one! Check out these scores!

Way to battle through this one!

Then, there was this:

Really?!?! Just when we thought we could cruise through a nice and easy workout, we get a 1 mile run and 1 minute AMRAP air squats?!?! You betcha! Very impressed with the running on this one. The morning class had AMAZING weather and took full advantage. Everyone PR’ed and Dan put up an INCREDIBLE 5:30! Awesome job!

Thursday brought a nice little 10-1 workout. I first did this workout at a gym in York, PA. If I recall correctly, I smashed my shins on the side of a metal plyo box. OUCH! Glad you all fared better.

And that brings us to Saturday. Unfortunately, the absent minded coach (me) forgot to take a picture of the board. But the workout was The Lumberjack 20.
20 Deadlifts (275lbs)
Run 400m
20 KB swings (2pood)
Run 400m
20 Overhead Squats (115lbs)
Run 400m
20 Burpees
Run 400m
20 Pullups (Chest to Bar)
Run 400m
20 Box jumps (24″)
Run 400m
20 DB Squat Cleans (45lbs each)
Run 400m
A VERY tough chipper, for sure. I was totally impressed by everyone in attendance. Everyone made appropriate scales and battled through this tough workout. We don’t often tackle workouts this long, but it was great to see the persistence on this one. The early class all darted out before I could snap a pic, but here is the 8:45 class.
