Here is a great article from CrossFit on why people tend to stick with CrossFit longer than other workout programs.
What this article really boils down to is two things:
1. CrossFit breeds a strong community. A sense of “we’re in this together.”
2. There are always new goals to pursue.
Kirkwood is especially good at the first point. Every class has athletes/friends cheering for each other and giving each other tips for how to get the most out of their workout.
And the second point is particularly important during this time of year when everyone is setting goals. Think about what you want to do. Do you want to fly through pullups? Want to get a muscle up? Squat more weight? Run faster? Beat Brooke in a workout? It’s important to have a goal in the back of your mind. That drive, paired with a supportive atmosphere, is what will keep you coming back.
