The CrossFit Open is the first stage in the CrossFit Games. The top athletes in each region face off at Regionals, after which the best of the best go to the finals. All of this would make you assume that everyone in the CrossFit Open is like this guy:
And while most top athletes do not rival Dan Bailey’s enthusiasm, there will certainly be top athletes participating. BUT there will also be tens of thousands of everyday CrossFitters just looking for that little extra drive. A reason to really dial their diet in, improve their slee, and compete against every other CrossFitter around. That’s what the Open is all about. It’s like a 5 week long white board with thousands of names on it. And just to see your name on the board will be a thrill. The Open is a ton of fun – guaranteed to be the best $20 you’ve spent in a long while.
