It may sound cheesy, but I use visualization all the time when I’m squatting. I picture myself loading the weight, walking it out, and making it. It seems crazy, I know. Maybe I have too much time on my hands. But I have found that it really does work. I visualize the lift the night before, when I’m laying in bed. The morning of when I’m getting ready. And, of course, the moment right before I put that weight on my back. Maybe it’s just rubbish, but give it a try! It could be worth a shiny new PR. It’s how I made this PR of 430!
