Christmas Schedule

Matt and Brett have stepped up and offered to run open gym from 7-10 am on Christmas Eve! Great guys, those two. If you were signed up for the 9 am class, I left you in there. Just know that you can come any time between 7 and 10. Enjoy! We’ll be closed on Christmas, but regular schedule will resume on Saturday.

Meet Mike and Drew! Mike came to his first regular class this morning and did great. Drew is on his second week of regular classes and is very determined. We have more new faces finishing intros this week so be sure to introduce yourself when you see them! Also, you’ll notice a change in the gym next time you’re there. Everyone will store their things in the office from now on. My son will be cleaning out the black cubbies Sunday (he doesn’t know that yet).

Next spotlight is...Bill Perman! Here’s a little about Bill: How long have you been at Crossfit Kirkwood? I started at Crossfit Kirkwood on February 27, 2010. Katie LeGrand hooked Deb and Deb hooked me. We love the gym, the people, the challenge and hope we’ll be here through the 2020’s *What 3 things would you like people at the gym to know about you? When I was getting started, I set a goal of doing 50 consecutive pull-ups before I turned 50. It’s now 50 pull-ups before I turn 60. From time to time ask me how that is going. My main goal at the Gym is to beat my wife Deb in the WOD. Once in a while that happens. I’m a Presbyterian Minister but I am also a part of Buddhist Sangha – it helps get me through the week. I’m 56 and I currently own a bunch of Gym records. No, seriously, check the board 😉. Thank you Bill (and Deb) for supporting CFKW for so long. We truly appreciate you!

Happy Monday! My goals this week are to get you to sign up for the Tour de Kirkwood and get rid of more junk. You can make a team as well if you’re not up for the whole thing. Next, if you store stuff at the gym, place it in a black cubby and label it. Non labeled items will be cleaned out at the end of the month. Lastly, free desk and/or table with 4 chairs to first one to email me or Jeff. See you this week!
