New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day!

Just a reminder that tomorrow will be open gym from 8 until 10. There will be a workout on the board, and I’m sure there will be other options to choose from. On New Year’s Day, we will only have a 9 am open gym. Have a safe and happy holiday!!

Next spotlight is...Shanna Wiechel!! Here’s a little about Shanna, ” I started CrossFit in March 2016 - so a little over two years. Before that, I had been doing classes at the Kirkwood YMCA for several years, but no one even knew my name. I really love the community at Kirkwood CrossFit. Three things about me: Earlier this year, I became one of three managing principals of Christner, a 60-person architecture firm in Clayton. I am an architect for healthcare facilities and have been with the firm since I graduated from college. I love babies! We have two daughters (Madeline is 13 and Isabelle is almost 9), three nephews, one niece, and one more on the way. All of our family is out of town, so we spend a lot of our weekends traveling or hosting guests. When we are home, my girls and I volunteer in our church nursery to get our baby fix. In my "free" time, I am a board member for Nurses for Newborns (which supports families through home visits by nurses) and am participating in Focus Impact Fellows (which looks at health in our community through a social equity lens and develops a project to make it better).” Thanks for being an awesome part of our community😊
