You Are a CrossFitter

The big question is, “Did you watch the CrossFit Games this weekend?” Honestly, I’ve only caught bits and pieces, but there have been some INCREDIBLE performances. Tomorrow, you’ll probably have friends and family as, “Is that way you do?” It’s easy to look at the movements and the weights and say, “Well, that’s not even close to what I do.” But you’re selling yourself short. That is what we do. We don’t do as many workouts. We don’t lift quite that much weight. And maybe we scale some of the movements. But that’s what we do. We clean, deadlift, snatch, and swing. We do burpees, pullups, squats, and lunges. We pick up oddly shaped objects, flip tires, and jump rope. The Games athletes seem so impressive to you, but I bet your loved ones would be pretty impressed by what you can do. Don’t sell yourself short. When someone asks, “Is that what you do?” Just give them a “Yes” and a wink.
